Our dedication to creating the perfect vacation starts the moment you hit the tarmac. A representative will greet you at the airport and accompany you until you reach the Manthiri. The Manthiri, our 85 ft charter boat, is custom designed for diving, right down to the stability of the 25ft beam and the tropical timber used in its construction. The staff-guest ratio of 1:1 ensure that each guest receives five star treatment.
Our five-star treatment extends to our dive tender, the Vasantha, which provides storage for dive gear, Nitrox systems, and compressors. Combined with the liveaboard Manthiri, that's 106 feet of dive vessel -- with just six cabins, and a separate dive deck. You never have to worry about bumping into someone's scuba gear topside; the deck of the Manthiri is for tanning and relaxing! The Manthiri is specially designed to optimize both comfort and the dive experience. The vessel's wide beam minimizes rocking, and the guest limit of twelve people ensures a personalized experience. Rooming options, including twin and doubles, are available.
All rooms are en suite, with showers, hot water, hair dryers, separate air conditioning, and a mini bar. Each room has plenty of storage space; a chest of drawer and locker adorn each room, and luggage is accessibly stowed.
What really sets the Manthiri's accommodations apart, however, is its teak paneled common room. This relaxing area includes upholstered furniture, a DVD player, TV/VCR, and a music system. For photographers, there is a computer and slide projector at a well-light workspace.
The Manthiri's deck options are also tailored to its guests. Numerous deck chair can be arranged for tanning, relaxing in the shade, or star-gazing.
The Vasantha low-sitting build offers a comfortable entry for dives from four separate deck exits, as well as ample space for suiting up. The 400 square foot deck contains a rinse tank, restroom, and two showers, ensuring quality care you and your equipment. Best of all, the dive tender carries a pair of high capacity air compressors and a Nitrox system, as well as an assortment of tanks. No more loosing time waiting for a new tank!
The comfort of our guests is the top priority on the Vasantha as well as the Manthiri. The crew of the dive tender offers assistance in suiting up and will rinse gear after ever dive, allowing you to take in the scenery.
The crew of the Manthiri takes pride in providing guests with matchless service, from dives to dinner. Some of the services we provide include fresh towels after each dive, laundry, and equipment care. Ibrahim, the skipper, has over thirty years of experience navigating the Maldives' lagoons and atolls. He has an intimate knowledge of local water, and gives guests access to exclusive dive sites. Our on-board engineer, Dhonbé, ensures a safe and pleasant experience by optimally maintaining all machinery. Our chefs, housekeeper, and waiter/barman all hail from high-class resorts. They are professionals in five star cooking and service.
Moosa and Ali, our dive guides, are the finest around. With over 10,000 dives between them, the PADI certified pair have an uncanny ability to know just where the wildlife is hiding. Moosa is our resident photography pro. He is glad to help guests of any experience level improve their underwater photography skills. For guests more comfortable with speaking Japanese, we have a fluent dive guide. The Manthiri is owner-manages, and so office staff and crew work together to make every element of your trip extraordinary.
Our dining options are five-star. Bodey and Hema, our chefs, were trained a top resorts. They are specially qualified to create sophisticated twists of Maldives flavors; mouthwatering blends of cuisine from East and West. After ten years of experience on the Manthiri, our chefs know how to cater to divers specifically, offering between-dive snacks, and pre-breakfast meals.
